Well I left off going back to my hostel. No one was really going out that I could find so I took off to go sight see at night. This city is breathtaking some times. I walked around for a while and snaped some pictures then did a metal head smack when I remembered that I forgot my manual black and white camera. I could of easily shot enough rolls to get me through next semesters class... I digress. So as I walked around and kicked myself in my own ass for a little while I relized it was time to turn in when I walked by a guy sitting on the street shooting up right in front of me. Hey ever city has the good , bad and ugly...Dublin is no diffrent.
I headed back to the hostel and jumped into bed. I got a few good hours of sleep before some of the other guys came back to the room. One guy snored so much is was impossible to sleep. I gave up at about 3am and headed downstairs. Three of the french guys in my room and the security guard where hanging out in the lobby. They took one look at me and started to crack up because they knew why I was down there because they too had been woken up by the train going through our room. We hung out and talked a bit. I helped them with their english and they helped me with my very small amount of french. At about 4:30am we set out on a mission to go find some ear plugs. It was anamazing night. How many people can say they wondered through Ireland with some french guys trying to get ear plugs so they could sleeep through the guy from Brazils snoring. We walked around untill the sun started to come up and watched the sunrise over the Liffey river and finally called it a night. I got a few more hours of sleep until it was time to get up and head out for yet another day in the city.
Today I took the Leffe river boat tour. It was great. I learned so much about the city. Little intresting facts about Ireland history which made the city even more intresting. It took about 1 hour and I had a great time. The weather is getting coleder and it started to drizzle so I grabed a cup of coffee and took in some street performs on the Liffey Bridges. I found an Irish man in a kilt with his bag pipes and I was happy so I sat for about an hour listening to him play just enjoying my time and soaking it all up.
Tomorrow I check into my hotel with my team and I am looking forward to finding out who I am sharing a room with and seeing all my coaches. I had a moment today when I walked by a street sign warning people this road I was on would be closed on Monday. It took me a second and then I relized it was because I would be running my marathon on it....they are closing the raod because of the marathon. I got chills and had a brief OMG moment. It was amazing. 5 months ago this was a dream and now it was all real. So real in fact and I was loving it. So I needed to go back to my hostel and pack it up because I need to be out of here by check out time.
I will write more after I get all settled again.
