When we woke up we headed down the road to a place called "Blue chair" for some breakfast. The food on this island seems to be a lot cheaper than the others we have visited and we both ordered an American breakfast which includes: one egg, one sausage, one bacon, one hash brown, beans and toast, all for 150TB. It was really delicious and they have the same hash browns as breakers in koh phi phi. The sausage was just like the halal ones my dad would wake me and alex up to eat at 05:00am for ramadan. Once we both finished we nipped back to the room to grab some towels and headed down to the beach.
As we stepped onto the sand it was a bit disappointing to see that the tide was out which meant no swimming, not like i would have been able to anyway with the infected bite on my leg. I was thankful there was a breeze so i wouldn't be sweating like a pig. We walked left passed two oddly shaped palm trees, they grew outwards towards the sea and then shot up at a 90 degree angle, very strange. We found a spot and put our towels on the sand (this was a bit tricky as the wind was constantly blowing it left, right and center). I undid my bikini top to stop any tan lines on my back and sunbathed listening to music on my phone. I turned to lay on my back when daniel told me to "put them away" and it's times like this i wish i was with a group of girls, if i want to get my mosquito bite boobs out i damn well will without having a boy tell me to put them away.
We sunbathed for a while and daniel took a dip in the sea, there were loads of boats on the sand eagerly waiting for he tide to come in but it still hadn't by the time we had left. There are loads of cafes and bars along the beach with people sunbathing outside on their sun deck. There are more dogs than cats on this island unfortunately but hey don't do any harm or hardly bite. There is a fat, short dog who always lays down in the same aisle, on the same spot in 7/eleven as well as a teddy bear looking one who sits by the entrance, they are pretty cute. As we left the beach and walked back through the side street a shop caught my eye so i went inside to have a butchers while daniel waited for me outside. They had a massive cabinet full of lovely, quirky pieces of silver jewellery and racks after rack of tie tie clothes. They had some beautiful, long dresses and crotchet tops and skirts but i fell in love with a beautiful aladin-esque waist coat. It is red with gold sequins over it but it costs 380B which is around £6.50, still not bad to be fair and i may actually buy it not right now though as i have no money on me.
When we got back, Jacky, the girl we met in Pai who reminds me a lot of bethany to look at commented on my status saying she was also in Koh Tao so we arranged to meet up at her bungalow that she is sharing with an english couple and all head down to the castle party together. I showered and got changed when we got back while daniel went to 7/eleven to buy a bottle of Hong Thong and iced tea for us to drink. I sat in front of the mirror and did my makeup, which is a real treat for me as i never wear make up out here, only really on nights out which don't happen very often. I plaited the front part of my hair and let my curls frame it in all their glory, yes mum i am loving my curls now so thank you for the fabulous genetics!
Once my foundation (mac face and body so nothing heavy) and eyes were finished i sat with daniel on our porch drinking the whiskey and ice tea cocktail i had poured into an empty water bottle. I got pretty tipsy quite quickly and as daniel was hungry we left soon after (taking the booze with me in a plastic bag) and went into a small thai cafe where he ordered rice and omelette, i wasn't hungry so stuck to the alcohol. I know i shouldn't drink while on meds but it's only one night and i wont be drinking too much. As daniel was eating i walked down to 7/eleven for fags and when i got back he pointed over to across the road where there was a monkey in a cage. I went over to investigate and it was an actual monkey. This made me feel so sad though, it was looking straight into my eyes from behind the metal bars of it's small cage and i just felt like opening it up and letting him free. No animal should spend their lives locked up in a cage for any reason. The circus is the worst and i am boycotting them. I reckon my calling in life is to work for an animal rights group.
Dan paid the bill and we walked down to look for the place jacky is staying and we found it dead easily as it was pretty much right next to 7/eleven. We walked down until we got to the bungalows and i saw, behind some plants three figures and a round, white face so i called "jacky?" And she replied so we met her at the steps and gave each other a big hug when she said "oh my god you look like a black girl!" At first i thought she meant the denim shorts i was wearing but she was referring to my tan. She introduced us to the couple she is staying with Eddie and beth from England and we all sat on their porch chatting and drinking getting to know each other. Eddie and i were both sat facing each other on the hammock gently swinging when it literally tore in half and we both landed with our bums in the floor, we were half in shock and half in hysterics, god knows how that happened!
Beth went to have a nap before we all went to the castle for the party and we all were chatting. Eddie told us about his tattoo because i had asked. It's a chest piece and says "taylor made 1993" but there is a reason for the spelling mistake, Taylor is his surname and i think the tattoo is quite cool. He said him and his siblings all got similar ones for their dad which is sweet. Jacky was a bit pissed already and told me she is going to koh phangan to take a jewellery making course as she has already done one which is when she went in the room and came out with a beautiful necklace she had made with a red stoned in the middle and she gave it to me which was so sweet. At first i couldn't accept it but she was adamant for me to have it so i bent down a lot for her to put it on( as she is quite a bit shorter than me). I gave her a big hug and said thanks, i seriously love it! We woke beth up who appeared sleepy eyes but still smiley and then walked to the main road to get a taxi to castle. It cost us 100TB each and thankfully we passed a girl giving out flyers for the party as the ones we were given yesterday were chucked by the cleaner.
We all climbed up onto the back of a truck which had seats installed and made our way on the bumpy and windy journey to castle which only took around 5 minutes if that. When we arrived we approached the woman at the entrance and handed her our flyers and she gave us a stamp on the hand and a small orange piece of paper that would get us either a free shot or a balloon so we headed upstairs. It was very quiet at the minute as the party hadn't kicked off but we all took our tokens to the laughing gas stool and we were each handed a balloon filled with the gas and took it stood inna circle. I love laughing gas, its a very quick high but it makes you giggle and it makes jacky swim around with it.
After the gas, we headed round to another dance floor where we were the only ones on it but began dancing anyway. The DJ was playing house and trance music which was alright and jacky and i went and bought another balloon to have. After a while we noticed Eddie and beth had disappeared so we each took it in turns to find them but had no luck. The club slowly got busier and busier while we were dancing and then they both appeared again out of nowhere, i didn't ask any questions. We all danced together as the dance floor filled with more and more people. I began to feel a bit sick so went to the loo to throw up but it was just liquid. I bought a bottle of water which cost an arm and a leg to drink as i was so thirsty but that got thrown up after a while too. I reckon it's because of the meds i am taking as really i hadn't drunk that much.
The strobe lights weren't making me feel any better but i powered through a little longer. Eddie and beth left and he said to daniel that "duty calls" which we all knew what that meant. Soon after i didn't feel well at all and it was soooo so busy in the club you could barely move and dan burned me with his fag AGAIN. It was a right sausage fest and always met eyes with some sort of hispanic arab looking guy who clocked onto my curls. I said to dan i would need to go back but that he could stay if he wanted but he wasn't keen and said he would come back with me so i went down the stairs quickly and vomited water by the side of the path. We got on a truck taxi straight away and as we were pulling off a guy hopped in and said he was going to the same place. He is from new zealand and left the club because he said he didn't think pulling girls would have been hard but it really was a sausage fest in there so the men were all competing against each other. We arrived at 7/eleven where he went to pay the driver but i said it was already paid for so he said "thank you posh british people" and disappeared down the road. I went to stroke the teddy dog outside 7/eleven which was so soft and cute but when dan went to stroke him he started barking really loudly. We got water and headed back to the room where i took a pill but threw it back up 30 mins after. It might sound pathetic but i really just wanted my mum and was thinking about hugging her, i shed a little drunken tear over it but i will be with her again soon. Dan pulled my bed under the fan which is where i sleep as its cooler and he hopped in and joined me for a cuddle as we both have our own single bed.
