When i woke up i went outside and called Tina who appeared out of nowhere and onto our porch. Once we showered and got ready we headed down to the beach to walk down and see if we can find somewhere for breakfast. The beach was empty, dan and i were the only people on it apart from two figures sunbathing in the distance. We walked to the right of the beach and passed a few massage parlours and cafes until we found one called "picasso" which had kids playing equipment outside in the sand and big statues of elephants and an octopus.
We sat at a table on the sand with a beautiful view of the sea and ordered our brekkie. Dan went for toast and jam and a red bull and i had eggs on toast with bacon, ham pineapple juice and a small plate of fruit. The guy who took out order was very kind but couldn't understand or speak english. The food arrived shortly after ordering and dan wished he got the same as me. It was really tasty and set me up for a day of sunbathing. We headed back to the room to grab our towels and apply sun oil. I bought some before as it makes you tan quicker and cost me 306 baht for a nivea one. That works out as £6!
We then walked to the pool, which has seen better days. We dragged two of the loungers out into the sun and lay our towels on top as the leather gets so hot and you don't wanna be sweating while lying down on leather as i might slide right off. We began to sunbathe and my god was it hot! I had to go into the small plunge pool every ten minutes to cool down. There wasn't much of a breeze either. I rolled a spliff to smoke while chilling out which we smoked half in/ half out of the pool. There are lots of cats wandering around and sleeping in the shade which is really cute. The bigger pool has lots of leaves and plants on the surface and on the bottom so i didn't get in there.
After the spliff we got a little peckish so we decided to head back to the same place we went to for breakfast for some lunch. There was still no one on the beach and the water is a lot rougher than in phi phi and nowhere near as crystal clear. We sat down amd both ordered a tuna baguette with chips. I asked for mine to come with mayonnaise but the woman understood that i wanted no mayo it was all very confusing. I explained it in the easiest way possible for her to understand and when the food arrived, there was no mayonnaise. Thank god daniel got some in his so we swapped and i asked for extra mayo for daniel which he didn't end up eating. It feels so leisurely, eating lunch whenever, staring out into the sea. I never want to go back to work again. I hate schedules.
We finished our lunch and walked back to the pool where we continued sunbathing until the sun went in. We haven't seen one guest staying at the resort and i'm sure we are the only ones. The resort wasn't up to scratch. They have a tailor with no tailor, a diving centre which is empty and boarded up, a restaurant with no waitress or chef and no one on reception which is annoying as i wanted some laundry done but there was no one to give it to! There is however a family of cats who sleep in the reception area. A mother and two kittens and whenever i go to see them, the kittens are sucking milk from the mummy cat which is the sweetest thing to watch.
When we went back to the room to shower the air conditioning wasn't working and neither were the lights or plug sockets which was annoying as it was super hot and a shower could only cool me down so much. After i'd showered and changed i was sitting on the porch with Tina when the lights suddenly came on, but not the air conditioning. It began to get dark so we got dressed and headed out to dinner. On the way i saw a man who works at the resort to i explained to him that the air con wasn't working so they called someone to look at it so we went back to the room and showed him. He tried to fix it but it didn't work so he moved us to the bungalow next door and helped carry our bags there.
When we got in it was definitely an upgrade. The bed had a marble outline and blue lights underneath which made it look a little like a brothel but it was a nice touch. Once we transferred all our stuff to our new room we headed back out in the dark again to find a place for dinner. After walking passed the same options as yesterday we ended up in the BBQ place again and sat outside. The woman came to set up our grill as we went i side to pick some pieces of meat to cook. I got a tonne of chicken and fish as well ad chicken nuggets and spring rolls. We also had some rice and soup to eat with the meat which was lovely as before.
Once we were all meated out i went in for some ice cream, two scoops, one rainbow and one strawberry and then i paid the bill and we headed to 7/eleven for snacks. We headed back through the dark paths and cats and crabs to our new bungalow to smoke and watch an idiot abroad.
