Well after the Icy coolnes of Franz Josef we were popping into Queenstown, but unfortunatley we weren´t staying there long enough to experiance the adrenaline rush´s on offer such as throwing yourself off a bridge, we had a different adreniline rush on mind, such as driving a batterd 20 year old ford sierra down to Milford Sound.
Apparently Norway isn´t the only place to contain fiord´s after all, so does New Zealand the only difference is that the Kiwi´s spell it differently. The fiordland here, is pretty mindblowing and apperantly something silly like the 11th wonder of the world, if there is such a thing. It may seem strange to take a five hour drive out the way to take a 1 and 1/2 hour cruise, but it was well worth it, it tooks us through some of the most amazing scenery we have encounterd on this trip and through the scariest tunnel ever, right through the middle of a mountain. This tunnel is one way and has a set of lightsat each end with a 15 minute wait between green signals, so it was quite amusing to see a bus driver trying to usher all his guests on before the signal turned red and watch him loose his rag when it did.
With the views as amazing as this I'm sure that we added about 2 hours onto the drive as we had to keep stopping and admiring, we even caught up with ther magicbus a couple of our friends were on! If we hadn't have made the cruise then it would have been a big deal as it was just an awesome drive, we had our own freedom on the road again! The cruise was perfect too it was the perfect day after driving through a storm about 4 hours into it which could have gone two ways, but in the end went our way and there was perfect pictures to remember it by!
The cruise was pretty cool although we didnt get to see any dolphins as promised, but we did get to nick the other tours choclate muffins which was a bonus. Just look at the pictures, to be able to do this was just fab! Anyway back in our car for the long drive home without any hitches which was nice.
