This is a beautiful part of India and the world!
The day started with a 6 hour car journey which was interesting for various reasons. Half of it was simply motorway and main roads but passing village after village - sometimes very busy and sometimes very poor, indeed. Mid journey we hit the hilly / mountainous and off the pathway route and ended in the Arai Valley for lunch. Amazing scenery all around the restaurant (which was virtually empty). After out Kingfisher and 'Chicken Toastie' we visited a local Durry (carpet / rug) maker...but chose not to buy anything despite the quality of the Durry maker's skills.
Also em route, we stopped near a 'lay by' as the driver, a Sikh called Mr Guruchandran, spotted a local well which worked by oxon turning a wheel....very old and very interesting and still used today.
In the afternoon after arriving at Udaipur we simply chilled.
