We left Ko Samui, getting on a boat then a coach to the train station. We caught the overnight sleeper train to Bangkok, which left at 6.30pm. The train starts with seats down either side, then later in the evening, the seats become one bed and the top bunk folds down from the ceiling, it is like a big dorm.We arrived early in the morning at a train station we couldn't find on the map. We grabbed a taxi to Khao Sahn Road, the backpackers haven and managed to find a place to stay which is clean but it swamped with ants although Will has managed to get of most of them with his bug spray. We had a wonder around Khao Sahn and the centre of Bangkok, looking at some Wats and trying to find our way to the Vietnamese Embassy to apply for our visas. That took hours. In the evening we went out for a few drinks and met some girls on holiday here. Will had a bit too much to drink and had to go back!! Today we picked up our visas and have been lounging around. Tomorrow we plan on heading to Kanchanaburiwhich is on the Death Railway and the Bridge Over the River Kwai. Bangkok is nice but there is a lot going on, and the pollution is awful.
