HALONG BAY - Christina Deluxe Cruise 3 days 2 nights

Day 1

8.10 Bus arrived. Law was late!

8.20... Bus returned... Law was back and we jumped on a mental bus which drove off whilst getting on because we made him late. He then crashed into a parked motorbike and we had to watch an argument! 3rd thing... a fat indian man had dog s*** on his shoe on our bus! Good start :)

Arrived at Halong City, boarded our boat and headed to the bay. Had a lovely seafood buffet lunch and met loads of nice people. Two couples we stuck with, one couple had just got married a week before and were from Chilli and the other couple, one was irish and the other a scots.

After lunch we went to a cave (which the vietnamese dragon made with his tail when he was angry!) and had a tour from our guide called 'Lucky' :) We then went Kayaking! Kla can't kayak... and law can. so kla sat at the front taking photos :) and then law lost the camera! Luckily it was only Kla's clubbing camera!

Law went diving off the boat and swiming with our scottish friend Lyndon whilst there was a lovely sunset. Us girls stayed on top deck :)

We soon discovered alcohol on the boat was sooo expensive, $1.50! Which would you believe is expensive for a large beer! soo we bought a bottle of Vodka off a floating market lady! and sneaked it in our beer cans!!! naughty! Had a really good night which ended at 2.30am watching the stars on top deck :)

Day 2

6.15am - Getting out of bed was a struggle!

7.00am - Breakfast still a struggle.

8.00am - Check out of the Boat and onto Cat Ba Island. Bus journey to Cat Ba national Park and hiked a huge steep forest mountain. This took about an hour, but was definately worth it. :) after getting tot he top we then trekked back down and went for lunch at our hotel on the island.

Went to an Island called Monkey Island! You basically sunbathe with wild monkeys around you stealing your towels and eating the food! Beach was amazing and we did some more kayaking. By this point, Kla had improved :D

In the evening we chilled out on the pier and harbour. Early start again tomorrow!

Day 3

Up even earlier today for breakfast. Vietnamese dont understand westerners like a lie in!!

Today we headed back towards Hanoi. Boat, Bus and 5 hours later we got off the coach and made our way to our hotel again. Checked in, and went to bed for an afternoon nap :)
