Hi all, Well as Surfers Paradise was to be fair just a stop over I didn't do a lot! This wasn't a problem for me..... As soon as we arrived to the hostel we dumped our bags and went exploring the town. Even though I knew that it was skyscraper city, it was still strange seeing this massive, white sandy beach with huge rolling waves and then row after row of scrapers lining the shores. Hi all, We arrived in Brisbane and made our way to the Brisbane City Backpackers were we checked in. Once we had settled in it was straight to the bar to grab a pint. Stupidly missing happy hour by about a minute, thanks goes to the bar tender for informing me!! We ended up staying the for the rest of the night and enjoying the delights of the BBQ.... 13 hours and quite a number of 'refreshment' stops later, we arrived into Hervey Bay. Sure enough, the Beaches shuttle bus was there to pick us up and we were taken back to the hostel, where the twins we had met were also staying. We got settled in our dorm and then, once again, I spent the day watching cricket and drinking. Amazing!
