Miffy's Mischievous Adventures
Hi all,
The local buses were absolutely fine again and so cheap which is a bonus. It is so easy to buy tickets from agents but it is far more expensive. It Jarentut we had local Roti bread for breakfast which was devine. We had tried to get it ever since arriving in Malaysia without success. It was worth the wait.
Once we arrived in KL Jess, Amy, Cyrina and I headed straight to china town via the sky train. This was a bit weird as I've been to pretty primitive places and now it was like I was in london working out which underground line I needed to be on. In china town we checked into Red Dragon hostel with a large stared dorm. This time the room housed 12 people. Amy and I head straight for the middle of china town to grab a chinese with was delightful. Cyrina and Jessica joined us a little later and we were then stalked by a freak/tapped bloke. When we left he started throwing punches at motorbike drives who were driving passed! Idiot...
We bumped into Janni the swedish girl we got on really well with in Kecil - Perhentian Islands. It was really nice to see her. She had been shopping all day as her was fly back to sweden/denmark the next day.
As a five some we all went out for tea which was cool. This was an eye opener for myself. The topic that girls talk about! Much much worse than when blokes get together...
We all were all up at the crack of dawn as we wanted to go to the Petronas Twin Towers and the Sky Bridge visit. This is free but they only let in 1000 people a day so you have to get there and queue early to get a ticket. So we hit the sky train at rash hour which was interesting. The Petronas Twin Towers was the tallest building in the world until 2004.
WOW what an erection, it was amazing and at the base there is the best shopping mall I have ever been too! It has ever single designer/make shop you have ever heard of. The prices were good to, I was in heaven. I could of shopped all day, I was in my element. It was so hard not buy loads of clothes, if I was on holiday I would of had a field day. I did buy two t-shirts from Diesel and I nearly so nearly buy a pair of converse (did have my size), police sun glasses (still waiting for donations) and the coolest green treed trilby..... The food court was out of this world too. We visited the sky bridge which was really good and the views of Kuala Lumpur City Centre were spectacular.
What a day and it hasn't ended yet.
We said a sad goodbye to Janni and Cyrina who were leaving that night but it was a happy hello to Daniel who had arrived from the Cameron Highlands. Once we had said goodbye the remaining four some went to see the Petronas Towers at night and hit the cinema to see the Da Vinci Code.
The next day in was to Mid Valley Shopping mall and I'm afraid I buckled and spent a few quid! Trainers for oz, sunnies (not the police ones as no sponsors - sob sob), an england t-shirt to support the boys and a hat to cover the hair! Once again it was a great day with Amy, Jess and Daniel. That night it was time to said goodbye and go solo properly. It was a little sad as it was was good to spend time with Cyrina, Janni, Daniel, Jessica and Amy as they are all lovely lovely people. Fingers crossed I will meet them again one day.
I'm heading back to Kho Tao apon a massive u-turn that will see me visit Kho Tao, Kanchanaburi, Chang Mia, Laos, Cambodia and then back to KL. However I seem to change my mind as much as I change my underwear so about once a week!
Bye for now
