The advanced course was fantastic!! It was a lot more chilled out and we got to do so much more swimming. With the open water, even though you were in the sea and surrounded by fish etc, a lot of the time we were sat in a sandy bit prasctising skills (e.g. filling our mask and trhen clearing it etc!!) with the advanced there are only a couple of skills (like going upside down) and then its about exploring the dive site. I absolutely love ko phangan!!!! we well and truly landed on our feet at harmony resort. the guy who runs it is a cockney called dave, who is just fantastic. they have contacts all over the isalnd so we never get ripped off on taxis or anything and they kow whats going on. we have a little lady called bee who ferrys us to wherever we want, although she does stop off to do her shopping occasionally and leave you waiting but its fine bless her!! Part 2 Ko samui was pretty uneventful. went out with meg and nic and had a nice time. they had to go home early but we had met some irish lads so let them buy us wine and then took them o the beach and introduced them to the whiskey bucket...my first glass of wine in a week. god i am strong willed!! did bit of shopping the next night but the sun is well and truly out now so been working on the tans! looking forward to ko phangan. hoping it will be a bit quie...
