Didn't sleep too well last night for some reason, so up a bit late. After breakfast Rob, Barbara and I did a mile. Looked into the laundry but it was busy so went and sat in the shade on the Promenade Deck with Barbara. I managed to do it later in the day.
I went to the BoS but I can't tell you who's winning as I've lost all interest. The bonus round was close ups of various objects and the guy who was marking it was allowing all sorts of slightly wrong answers, so like a lot of others, I'm not going to do any more on this sector.
I lost in the semi's of the quoits to Yvonne and her partner. I did win the Individual Quiz to get my eleventh gold sticker. Lost both evening quizzes. Saw a truly bad comedian, Lloyd Davies in Masquerades.
So what's my cabin like? I have one of the four single cabins on board. They're all at the front of the ship on decks 9 and 11, one each port and starboard. My bathroom is a standard bathroom with shower, loo, hand basin and storage behind the side mirrors. The bed is a 3/4 bed, larger than a standard single and smaller than a double. All of my suitcases and hand luggage fit under it. Two anodyne pictures on the wall. Large window overlooking the front of the ship. If I turn my TV to the webcam channel, it's just about what I see outside.
I have a double and a single wardrobe, with plenty of hangers and space for shoes. Over one of the wardrobe doors I've hung a canvas shoe rack, but it contains things like smellies, sun creams, brolly and err, wine. Under the little TV is a small cupboard with the safe, and under that a fridge that is very cold, great for beer and tonics. Below that is a set of four drawers. The bedside cabinet has a couple more drawers too. To the left of the fridge is a small vanity that contains the hairdryer, which is one that you don't need to keep the button pressed to get it to work. On the left of that is a small table with the kettle and teabags (Twinings Everyday) and coffee (Douwe Egberts full fat and decaff). I also have a small chair rather than a sofa. The wall above the kettle has all my tickets, itinerary etc. held on by magnets. See today's picture. And that's home!
Clocks back another hour tonight to GMT -8. Oh, and it was an alcohol free day, too.
