Early arrival, but a late start! The plan was to do part of the Wellington Beer Trail. Phil and Yvonne had gone on ahead, so Rob, Linda, Barbara and I met at 10:00 in Raffles and took the shuttle bus into town. It was the first time we've had to pay for a shuttle.
When we got into town Linda went off on her own and the rest of us set out on the trail. We walked past the New Zealand Parliament en route to our first pub. When we got there, it was closed and didn't open until midday, so we went back to the Parliament and took one of the free guided tours.
After that we went crawling. We had a beer and then had lunch in the same cafe as two years ago. Phil and Yvonne joined us. Yvonne then went off on her own and Phil stayed with us. We then went to four more bars for the beer. One of the beers we tried was a sour beer. It was horrible. We grabbed a cab back to the ship.
As I found free wifi, I downloaded my emails and updated all my phone apps. One of the emails from Angie. She said that she couldn't see much of my photos on the blog. I thought they were available in the albums.
As we were about to leave, the Captain came on and said that because of cyclone Pamela we would travel through the Cook Straits and up the west coast rather than heading east. Which means that, hopefully, we'll miss her.
There was a musicals quiz in Carmen's at 21:45 and we came second. In the middle Barbara and Rob took our casino raffle tickets for the prize draw. Barbara won a meal for two in Sindhu, where four of us are eating tomorrow night.
