Day one of week eleven, time is hurtling past. This week is going to be hectic, sea day, two port days, sea day, two port days and a sea day.

The weather is warming up again and should stay warm for most of this sector. The men won today's Battle of the Sexes, by one point. Apparently there are only 8 sea days for us to do battle on this sector.

Barbara was taken ill and went to the medical centre this afternoon. She has been isolated in her cabin from 15:00 for 24 hours and so will miss Nha Trang tomorrow. She sounded OK when I rang her just before dinner.

Today was the captain's cocktail party and once again the guys went to both, the 18:00 and the 20:00. I got through about 9 gins and tonics plus half a bottle of red on the dinner table. As it was the first formal evening of this sector, it was lobster tails and prawns on the menu. It's a hard life I'm living! We also had Scott from the entertainment team dining with us today. The new captain has an excellent sense of humour.

Despite the alcohol consumed, we still won the Syndicate Quiz. The bottle of wine went to our fellow quizzers on the team, Rosemary and Veronica.
