Today we said a really sad goodbye to caye caulker, it was an absolute pleasure!!
We had a later start this morning, where we met in the hotel foyer at 10am. It was nice to have a bit of a sleep in!!
We caught the ferry from the island and made our way to Belize City. Once we were there we transferred to the bus terminal to catch another chicken bus from Belize City to San Ignacio.
The bus trip was good, we had some gorgeous kids in front of us on the bus!! The 13 month old wasn't too sure about us until we started singing twinkle twinkle little star, then we cracked him!! It is so great just talking to locals on the bus!! They are so friendly in Belize!! So happy to give you tips on where to go, what to see!!!
We went into town and signed up for our tours tomorrow and then made our way to our hotel! Now the hotel is about a 10min drive out of town, it's the first hotel which is not in the heart of town. But the hotel is really good, so I'm not complaining!!
Once we arrived in town we had a very important job to do, we had to sign up for dinner!! It's actually a good concept, you pick what you want off the menu, you turn up at 6pm and your meal is brought to you!! Pretty good!! We also had to do the same thing for breakfast tomorrow!! Such a brilliant concept! Now just relaxing by the pool!! The temperature is a little cooler in San Ignacio, but the humidity is crazy!! The chicken bus was so hot, but as soon as we got off it was beautiful!! The breeze was heavenly!!
