Well we made it to London. Our last and final stop. Country number twelve for me and eleven for Michlle! Yikes we have fit a lot in over the last secen weeks! Yesterday was really fun. We had no schedule for the first time in seven weeks! In the afternoon we went to the Air Force Base with Jason and Jo. It was like a mini America! They get all the brands, foods and goodness of America brought to them. We even got an actaul diet coke not a coke light!
We went with Jo around base and did some shopping for the BBQ they threw for Jasons birthday last night. We went back to their place and starting cooking and grilling. Some of their friends came over and we sat outside and grilled and just hung out. It was really fun.
This morning we got up around nine and conquered packing....it was strategic but it worked! Jo made us eggs and a good breakfest again which was so nice and then we left for the day. We went to Mosselle Valley for the afternnon to shop and have lucnh. It is a cute little wine village with lots of character. We had lunch in the center of the little town outside. It was super hot today but beautiful out.
We left for Frankfurt to go to the airport around 3 and made it very early to avoid pervious traveling moments from this week. Everything went smooth as can be at the airport
I came up with a way to avoid paying baggage fees and take two bags still. I stuffed a ton of heavy stuff in my smaller suitecase . I checked in first and left my carry on behind which was about ten pounds over weight to avoid being charged a weight fee on my original bag. I figured if we could get through securuty with our second bags even tho overwight and oversized and make it to the gate they would have no choice but to let us on or take our bags and check them there at the gate for free! It worked! i brought the same amount of stuff, moved it around and did not pay a dime. Worked for Michlle to, except she shipped a box home from the base as well. We felt pretty smart after that :)
We ate one last good German meal at a cool resturaunt in the airport and then headed through security and then on to passport checkppoint. They read through my passport three times, I must have looked suscpicious or something. We watched Dumb and Dumber at the gate and then boarded our flight. The flight went quick and we sat behind two adrobale boys about 2 and 4 years old with british accents they were awesome.
We had to wait to go through another passport check and explain our reasons for cisiting and fill out forms then go through customs. Finally we got our bags and found the guy holding a sign that said Melanie Towey who was our driver dude and took us to our hostel. Our hostel here in London is really nice. We have bunk beds that are nice and our own shower and sink. There are a lot of college kids here so it should be a fun time. We are going to get up and go explore in the morning! We changed time zones again. We are now only six hours ahead of everyone, mi
