Today we got a tuk tuk to the embassy! Neither of us are willing to do another trek! We got there after breakfast at 10:30 with our cash drawn out of the bank and our passports with us, this should be all you need! We got the papers to fill in which takes forever, they want to know everything about you, your relationships with anybody in China, your job, why you want to travel to China, in detail! I'm surprised they didn't care to ask me what I'd had for breakf...

Today we were up for breakfast at 9:00 as usual, and then walked all the way to the Chinese visa embassy! The guy from the reception said it would take 30 minutes, it took us an hour and a half! Arrived knackered and sweating and them the god-damn place was closed! I mean really? God doesn't want me to get to China!!! It was 'annual closing' surely someone would have known and could've told us this before the treck in the sweating hot sun! Annie was dripping ...

Got up at 10:00 today and went for an omelette at a cafe around the corner from our guesthouse... Today is tubing day!! I really wasn't all that bothered about doing it as someone told us the locals hate it and we've kayaked down the river anyway...
