Julie and I are still in our planning stages, but everything is slowly coming together. We are booked to leave Australia on the 24th of April 2011. The bike is pretty much all sorted, we are just waiting to get a new rear tyre when they become available. We have most of our gear and equipment, but will be getting a satellite phone when the one we want becomes available. We will also be getting a SPOT emergency beacon before we leave, we are also looking at a small notebook computer to take with us because this trip will be a working holiday and we plan on being able to keep tabs on our business while we are away.

The route at this stage, and this is very likely to change as we go. We will be shipping the bike to South Korea and flying there via Bangkok. From Busan in South Korea we will be going to Russia, Mongolia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, France, England, France, Spain, Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, France, England, Ireland, England, Canada, Alaska and back to Australia.

It sounds ambitious, but why not aim high and see where it gets us?
