We arrived in Beijing yesterday morning and found our hostel very easily (we took a taxi!) We were very jetlagged so only went for a small walk before dinner and going to bed. A combination of the jetlag and the hostel being 4 storeys underground resulted in us sleeping in until 3 pm today! Given that we went to bed at 9pm the previous night, that's a lot of sleep!

We didn't have much time to do stuff today after that, so we decided to leave the forbidden city to a day we can have a good look around and instead attempted to book our train to Xi'an. We failed and decided we will use the hostel's services for this one (we're moving to an above-ground hostel tomorrow!)
