So we managed to get to melbourne Avalon airport on the sunbus ($18) and then had a lovely flight with jetstar. It is a cheap flight where the extras are put on top if you want them so we didnt buy any food but did fork out $10 for a personal DVD player which we then used our headphone splitter so we could both listen.

We landed to discover Charlie had just left (confusion over daylight saving) and so jumped in a taxi to grandmo and grandpa's house.

We had a lovely xmas day - and are still eating the ham! Cassy, mel and Amy got matching headdbands and we got a wine tour trip, leeuwin sailing adventure and moonlight cinema tickets - which are all good for the packing situation. Somehow my stocking was hung up in chester but arrived in perth! Very clever Father Christmas - who also bought me flip flops that wont cut my feet. After a lunch of turkey. oysters and ham we went to Cottesloe beach for a quick swim!

Boxing Day took us to the Perth races. We had a lovely day there. Mel had a $1 bet on French Favourite, who won and so she got $2.80. Stu had some wins and a last place! Cassy managed to win the trifecta but only got $12! We were not big risk takers! Charlie lost on most bets.

We got home to realise that Dook, Leane and Koto had popped in for lunch during their stopover between South Africa and New Zealand!

We are now off to Speedway and demolision derby!
