Didn't have to be on the road until 8.30 this morning. We went to see some blowholes which didn't really blow as the sea wasn't rough enough and then onto another couple of rock formations on the coast 'The Gap' and 'Natural Bridge'. Basically formed from the ocean eating away at the rocks over many millions of years.
Visited an ANZAC war memorial back in Albany and then onto conquer Bluff Knoll, the 3rd highest mountain in WA.
On our way to the Sterling Ranges where Bluff Knoll is located there was some major bush fires out in the forests in the distance. Pretty amazing seeing it reasonably close and such a waste.
The 6km track up to the top of Bluff Knoll (1095m above sea level) took just under 2 hours to get to the top and about an hour to get down again. It was hard going and I thought about giving up a couple of times but made it in the end and was definitely worth it.
Stayed at a camping ground just down the road from the Ranges. Was a really nice area, reminded me of being on school camp again!
