Ella, tea growing country!
After a long and windy drive up hill - we arrived in our guesthouse in Ella!
Did some amazing walking tours here, as well as a visit to a tea plantation and green tea factory. Very interesting!
Even went for a run on the train track today- felt a little dangerous at first, but there is no others road up here...
Lots of monkeys and chipmunks here! The snakes are thankfully hiding in termite mounds, and I also missed the tarantula which climbed up on a tuktuk!
The area is full of coconuts, bananas, avocados, limes, jackfruits, coffee trees and pomegranates!
The food here is record breaking- Tom, you were so right! Nature and food is just unreal! Guess the weight I lot during the detox is back on again....!
Off to Yala tomorrow! A big wild life reservation on the coast!
Lets see which creatures will say hello there....?!
Thanks by to those of you who send little messages! So nice to get some mail from home and "read" you every now and then as well!

Caroline OMG sounds like you are having a very interesting time in Sri Lanka:-) Sounds like you are getting a bit more acclimatised though as I read your posts:-) Don't worry about putting on any weight you lost enough to make some space:-) Had to laugh at your animal comments, for sure we thought a small lizard in the bathroom was a catastrophe in Thailand but they seem to be nothing compared to what you get now haha! Hope you all continue to have a lovely time together! Dubai is cool but have a cold from airco:-( xxxx
Jenny Ordnung Enjoy Marie, we had the first snow here. Pretty cold and wet. Thanks for taking us on a mini holiday these days - at least in my head I a, dreaming about sun, monkeys and sweet bananas right now :)))) awesome! Take care! Xxx
Josine Ai....tarantula's I would try to skip as well! The food and other animals sounds great, same for the weather! Here it is really starting to get cold, the mornings are horrible in the wind & rain at the train station and at night it is dark when you go home....so would love to swap with you :)
Helen B All sounds amazing!!! Love catching up with your blog every week to hear all about your adventures! Have a fab time and enjoy xxx
