Day 1 - Kuala Lumpur
Bumpy ride to KL
We woke up at about 9am and caught a taxi to Hong Kong International Airport.
Laura had taken a tablet to calm her down before flying as she was nervous about flying with Air Asia, however, it kicked in a lot quicker than normal and she was a wee in a wee fit of laugher the whole taxi ride! J
The time it took us to get through security and immigration we didn't have long to wait until we boarded our Air Asia flight from Hong Kong to Kuala Lumpur.
Weather on the ground was nice and a pleasant 4 hour flight was expected, however, about an hour into the flight and we hit severe turbulence as we passed through a storm. It happened all of a sudden and the cabin crew were even ordered to take their seats, which made Laura a lot worse than normal.
Thankfully, it only lasted around 20 minutes and she was fine once we could see the sky clearing out the window.
The rest of the flight past without any dramas and we had now reached destination 3.........
Kuala Lumpur
The airport was very small in comparison to what we had experienced in Beijing and Hong Kong and immigration and customs seemed to take forever. We finally got to the taxi stand nearly 2 hours after landing before making our way to the City, which was about 40 minutes away by taxi.
Luckily the taxis were cheap as chips again.
We're staying in the Dorsett Regency and first impressions are very good.
After getting organised, we took a walk around before stopping off at the Hard Rock Cafe Kuala Lumpur. We were greeted by our waiter - Mr. Ed, who was a bit of a motor mouth.
The portions were massive and very cheap in comparison to other Hard Rocks.Good times!
Jumbo Combo followed by Mac, Chicken and Cheese and topped off with Apple Cobbler...............You fat b*stard was the cry from Colin and Laura J
We were stuffed after the meal, so decided a quiet and early night was in order ahead of whatever tomorrow will bring us.
