Yesterday we rented a moto for $7 for the day and bought two bottles of fuel for $2.50 which filled up the tank. We're getting pretty used to the way people drive here but it was still an experience, especially when you get cows wondering across the road.
Having a few errands to run, we headed to downtown, about a 15 minute drive away. This included visiting the Vietnamese embassy who told us that we needed to come back tomorrow to collect our visa. This, along with the fact that there were no bus seats left for today, meant that we had to stay in Sihanoukville for an extra night. Otres Orchid was fully booked so we headed over the road once again and found a new hut on the beach in a French bar, Chez Paou.
In the evening we returned to town and found a very English bar called The Big Easy in order to watch the football - Chelsea kick off 7.45pm. We had a fun evening while there and got chatting to quite a few people: another couple travelling, a guy from Eltham, and some other English people.
As we needed to go back to the Vietnamese embassy today, we kept the moto and jumped back on it. We collected our Vietnamese visas quite hassle free and returned to check out and check in - we're staying in the 9th different place tonight!
We spent the day on the beach today, had a full body massage, and just enjoyed some Khmer food for dinner (vegetable noodles, pork fried rice and a yellow curry).
Tomorrow we're getting the Giant Ibis bus back to Phnom Penh, just as a stopover, and then the day after we're getting the bus to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It's going to be a bumpy ride (Jamaican accent)!
