Got a train to the blue mountains in our summer clothes to arrive to freezing temperatures close to single figures. So we found the first clothes shop and purchased their cheapest pair of trousers to keep up warm. Echo point was where the best views were of the mountains and the 3 sisters. After that we started our decent on the kings staircase, roughly 900 steps which were nearly vertical. After getting to the bottom we went in search for the waterfall we'd been told about, which ended up being a long slow walk through the forest to find nothing. 900 steps back up the staircase we were knackered and made our way back to the train.
