I (and my bags!) have arrived in Kathmandu. Joyous happy day. It's boiling here and I'm still wearing my jeans from when I set off from a slightly wet London. The queue for visa applications was moving slowly so I ended up a bit late getting out of the airport. So now we're waiting for Gez. Hurry up please mate - I desperately need a shower! I'm also half dead, having not slept much if at all during my whole 18 hour trip. Nearly 5 hours difference in timezones doesn't help!

Update: it's now nearly 10pm and we have to leave at 5am to catch another flight and begin our trek tomorrow. I'm already nodding off...
