Eating and travelling was on the cards today. We first shed more passengers in LA - bye Helen and Justin - in the early hours. A breakfast at Denny's (think Little Chef), followed by lots of rounds of the name game (a was Tyra Banks - tough) saw us to San Francisco via a place famous for its split pea soup. Finally we were back at the Green Tortoise Hostel where I would spend a lot of my time dealing with photos. But first Marion, Noemie, Nicholas and I had a final supper as it were, in a local Chinese restaurant, grabbed a beer and enjoyed the dubious free entertainment back at the hostel.

The next day was spent almost exclusively wrestling with Ubuntu Linux and SLOW computers to select the best photos from about 1500 that I'd taken since my last update. I was meant to check into the Adelaide Hostel and do some grocery shopping for the 52 hour train journey to Chicago that I was starting tomorrow, but I ended up going for drinks with Holly and Davide instead. I finally and sadly said goodbye to them and it was time to move on to Chicago to start a new adventure. I really will miss everyone on the Canyons trip. It was so special and everyone made it such an unforgettable experience. Thank you all!
