Having made it back to Dave's pub around half 2 we spent the rest of the day feeling sorry for ourselves and trying to recover because we had to go to immigration the next day to get an extension on our visa as we had only been give 15 days at the Cambodian broader. When we got there we were under the impression we could get another 15 days on top of our 15 we already had, this wasn't the case!! They would only give us a 7 day extension which means we will be in the country for a week without a visa! Apparently it will be fine if we pay a fine of 500 baht a day each at departures when we fly out to Singapore. This is of coarse if we don't get stopped by the police and asked for our passports, so we will see how it turns out. That night we had yet another 12hr train journey to Surat Tharni down in the south of Thailand where we will catch a ferry to our next destination Koh Tao...
