Having gone out the night before our boat to koh pha-nagan, we weren't feeling the best and sea was a little rougher than it had been before so we were both feeling the motion of the ocean!! After wobbling off the boat we got a taxi which took us to the Blue Parrot where we were staying. It was a really nice place right on the beach where we had a concrete bungalow with a bed, en-suite and a fan. The only down side was it was sooo hot inside, the walls absorbed and retained the heat so it was like walking into an oven and the fan just blew hot air at you. It was actually cooler to sit outside! By the time we went to bed it was bearable. The food in the hotel was really good, if a little pricey but it was owned by an Irish guy so we treated ourselves to a few Western dishes which were awesome, I didn't realise quite how much I missed them. We found a much cheaper place just down the road for all our Thai needs though. It seems like there wasn't a lot going on in Koh Pha-nagan and everyone that was there was just waiting for the full moon party. We were staying on the quieter end of the island but one night we heard some music coming from a hotel further down the beach and decided to check it out. As we were walking down we met another couple who asked us what there was to do so we told them about this party so they came with us. Turns out they had done the diving at Koh Tao as well so we got talking and ended up having a great night. A couple of days chilling on the beach and it was time for some full moon action!! We met up with Poppy, Jamie, Harry and Stacey who were staying just down the beach from us for some pre-drinking and they had bought some UV body paints so we got painted up and headed off down to the party. When we got there it was just a sea of taxis dropping thousands of people off then there was a short walk to the beach through all these little streets full of stalls selling buckets of drinks, which we consumed lots of... in each bucket they put a half bottle of whiskey or vodka, a bottle of red bull ( which was like syrup it was so sugary ), and a can of ether sprite or coke all for 200 baht (£4). When we got to the beach there were thousands of people all dancing and having a general rave up. I think in all there were 30,000 people at the party. We walked up to the end of the beach and there was a water slide which went through a ring of fire so naturally I had to have a go! So I climbed up the rope net and went down it superman style!! Only thing was I did a superman straight into the sand and the crowd of people at the bottom. After gathering myself I was mown down by the next guy who came down the slide!! Feeling rather bruised and battered I found my way back to everyone and we headed back down the beach to the sunrise bar which had some great D+B and Dub-step tunes on so we had a dance there for a while. Then the heavens opened!! And we had about an hour of really heavy rain we managed to get on the stage which had a cover over it but Mel and I just kept raving in the rain!! After that the night turned into a bit of a blur and I'm not really sure what happened after that. All I know is we didn't get home till 9.30 the next morning, I had pizza all round my mouth and all my clothes were salty and our money was stuck together so I'm guessing we were in the sea at one point maybe eating a pizza!! It took pretty much the whole next day to get over so we know it was a good one. Next is Koh Samui...
