Hello all. I have had an action packed few days that i thought i had better tell you about! From Christchurch we headed to a place called Kaikoura which was very much like cornwall. On the way there, we spotted seals and an entire pod of dolphins jumping out of the water. This inspired me to go out on a boat to swim with them. It was amazing. The boat went about 100 metres off the shore until it was above the Kaikoura 'canyon', which is where the sea becomes a mile deep! As soon as we got there, we were surrounded by about 200 dolphins. Fully kitted out in my thick wetsuit, i jumped into the freezing cold water. The dolphins were amazing, they were so interested in us. I managed to dive down and swim in amongst a group of about 20 as they all circled me.

From Kaikoura, we spent the night in Nelson, then headed to Westport, which is where we are now. We have just come back from jet boating on the Buller river. It was really fun. It went 100kph, due to having two massive V8 engines and our driver was insane. He missed the river banks by centimetres and did some amazing 360 degree turns at full speed!

New Zealand is stunning, you cant look anywhere without seeing something amazing. The hostels here are more like hotels and much cheaper than in australia. SOrry i cant put any pictures up, the computers here are very limited as we are pretty much in the middle of nowhere, even though we are in a town. The whole west coast only has 30000 inhabitants, it is very quiet.
