This site has a van cleaning area so before we leave both vans get a rinse off with the pressure washer before we leave at 11:20 Skirting Cadiz we can make out the port area across the huge flat wetland area. After our big meal and wine we slept well but when we wake it is quite cold around 5 deg. Motorhomes may be tolerated parking on the sea front, but the locals turn up at 07:30 blaring club music out of their cars lest we should over-sleep. Today is Valentine's day so despite seventy -odd years of wedded bliss amongst us we have a nice breakfast of smoked salmon and eggs. it's an equally lovely sunrise, the low angled light picking out the colours and relief in the rock. As the sun rises higher it lights up the towns down the coast and casts perfect reflections in the still waters of the coves below us. It rained most of the night and is still raining this morning. We service the vans and leave at 11:20 along a rainy, spray filled road, the only respite coming in the frequent tunnels. Stretches of the road are brand new dual carriageway with a beautifully drained surface, and it follows the coast up and down and around until we stop for lunch near Motril. From this point we leave behind the arid scrubland covered with mile after mile of ugly poly-tunnels....
