We leave the site in light rain. Our journey is mostly dual carriageway towards Rennes with frequent showers and it is still raining when we arrive at a Passion, Le Val de la Chevre, in the village of Le Drugeon.

We are told where to park, overlooking a field of goats and an orchard that runs down to the river, but apart from that we are left to our own devices and Ali finds the farm shop closed.

The rain stops in the evening but it's only 12C, so it's a night in with some music and books.
