A cooler, duller morning greets us when we finally awake. We service the vans and check out at 11:00
The drive though Prague is much easier today with very little traffic, and soon we are heading south past Pibram and Pizek.
The sky is very dark and there are a few spots of rain, but the countryside is really pretty; rolling hills and pine forest or large meadows of wild flowers.
In places we cross, or run beside, lakes and sections of the Vltava river. We stop near Vodnany for lunch then drive to Cesky Budejovice and park in a side street. Ali and Grete go for a walk into the large main square with its fountain and baroque buildings.
Half an hour after leaving, we are bouncing along an unmade road through the woods, finally arriving at Camping Paradjis a few miles from Cesky Krumlov. We receive a warm welcome and park righ next to the fast flowing river. All we can hear is the water gurgling along and the songs of countless birds.
After two days of city noise it is wonderfully relaxing.
We plan to go into Krumlov tomorrow and return to this site for a second evening.
