Well today was interesting... I woke up at around 1am feeling very ill. The generator was off so I had no electricity to find the toilet... So with a bad stomach and feeling like I wanted to puke, I stumbled through the dark to get to my mum and dads en-suite bathroom. I accidentally woke them up though :/ but it was all good, because they gave me a torch and a sick bag to take back to my room with me.
When Karen (krissie's mum) woke us up at 6.30am I was still feeling very ill so I decided to stay behind and rest whilst everyone else went on the morning game drive.
I woke up again just before 10 so I got up and curled up in an armchair with a book (the curious incident of the dog in the nighttime) until the others got back, jut before 11. We all then sat down for breakfast, which consisted of cornflakes, bacon, sausage, baked beans, pineapple, and of course, tea. After breakfast we had a "chill time" where we played the kenyan version of monopoly, the others played perudo, and I finished off my book. In that time as well, we had a bit of lunch (this was around 3pm) which was hot rolls, ham, Brie/Camembert, salad, and lemon cake.
At around 5 I was feeling a little better, so agreed to go on the evening game drive. It got dark very quickly, and was cold with drizzly rain, so the roads were very slippery and muddy (ie, a lot of sliding and almost getting stuck!!). We didn't see many animals, probably due to the wet weather, but the ones we did see weren't any different to yesterday (buffalo, warthogs, a forest hog or two, and one or two elephants).
When we got back we had about an hour or so until our supper of rice with chickens and mushroom stew/casserole, then BROWNIES AND CREAM!!!!!! Little bit gutted as I couldn't eat as much as I liked because my stomach still felt a bit dodgey.
Just free supper, some people were out side on the veranda and suddenly a young bull elephant appeared!!!! Right outside our front door!!!! It was incredible however terrifying at the same time as the elephant wasn't very far away from us, had seen us, and could charge at any one moment. So everyone was a little bit twitchy!!
After the elephant left and the excitement had gone, I went straight to bed to get some sleep so I would hopefully be better for the morning game drive (this time at 6am!!).
I called Liam (the bestest person in the world!!!!) then curled up and fell asleep almost straight away!!
