After a lovely lie-in until 9am, we slowly got up and had a breakfast of fried egg, bacon, sausage, wheatabix, and tea. We then set off at 10.30 for a walking safari, which took about 2 or 3 hours. We didn't see much at all, apart from 6 TORTOISES!!!!!! (2 of whom were mating, 2 were trying to mate, and 2 were solo). The females are much bigger than the males, but all their shells are amazing!! Amazingggg to see wild tortoises!!!! We also saw an ostrich, but it was quite far away. Too much walking if you ask me!!
We then had a relaxed afternoon with some lunch (pizzaaaaaa!!) and played a few games such as Cranium (girls vs boys) where the boys (josh, theo and Seumus) won. We have NO IDEA how they won, after mixing up Matt Lucas and Steven Hawking, singing the entirely wrong song, and not knowing what waxing was!! During which we heard a storm (and saw the lightening!!).
After that, we set off for a night drive, with sundowners :) after an hour or so we stopped for drinks. Us kids got bored after a bit so rocked the car when we were on the top, and made animal noises. We actually heard a hyena call!! But didn't see any unfortunately. We did see a rare type of zebra, though, called a Grevy Zebra - very exciting.
We got back when it was pitch black, with the moon shining our path, and a few stars out on show. We were all very tired, and tomorrow we're planning to get up early for a morning game drive, so us kids were escorted (we all have to in the dark due to possibility of buffalo etc) back to the cottage, played some cards then went to bed.
