One o'clock in the morning is not a good time to start fretting. Did I remember that? Did I pack this? By 3am I realize that everything is done and that I will begin this trip absolutely exhausted. Good thing we get an extra hour of sleep tonight.
It is November 3rd ... a cold wet and windy morning. Thanks Niki for driving us to the bus station.
Tomorrow we fly to Santiago, Chile..... is it too late to start studying Spanish? Thinking that it's better late than never I give it a try.
Socorro! No entiendo! Help! I don't understand!
Could somebody tell me why a book on Traveler's Spanish has a sentence in it that says:
"Siempre tiene los manas en los balsellos"
or...... "He always keeps his hands in his pockets."
Who really cares about that?
Oh well, I'll keep plugging along. I hope all I really need to know is where is the bathroom and how to count to ten.
Tonight we are looking forward to a delicious dinner cooked by my wonderful sister..... tomorrow we dread the thought of airplane food and tedious times on and around aircraft.
Adios!
