I wake up to one of worst sounds for a moto-tourer, rain. I had anticipated this and, after confirming I can stay another night, book my bike in for the service she never got in Montreal. I have figured out a sketchy path through Labrador that will take me back into Quebec (should be epically remote) and I want to make sure she will be in tip top condition. I hitchhike back to the city and spend the afternoon visiting the Fairview graveyard (Titanic graves) and Pier 21 (immigration museum). Back at the hostel I meet up with Guy and two German guys who want to buy a car and drive to Ontario. They don't know mechanics so I offer to have a look at their potential purchase tomorrow to make sure it's not a lemon. I also meet two musicians who are playing at a cafe. They offer some great advice on places to hike and camp in Cape Breton as well as offering their place to stay in Halifax if I come back this way. We hit up some of the local bars/pubs and sample the great music and maritime beers.
