Not there yet (tomorrow) - I am expecting poor internet so just getting this blog started has probally saved myself lots of time and hassle. This place sounds too good to be true - we shall see. The libary picture incidently is of the land diving on the island - the original bungy jump. Locals jump off this 30 meter platform with a vine around their legs. The vine (which they make themselves) is just long enough for the jumpers hair to brush the solid ground and thus bless the earth. You are probally right there is scope for lots of things to go wrong so you will not see me doing this.

The first port of call is Port Villa where there are nice hotels and restaurants (that we cannot afford). We have given ourselves 6 weeks in oder to explore the more interesting outer islands and to get to new levels of being chilled.

As it happens the plane was delayed (lightening strike), so we spent another night in Sydney still trying to get over the jet lag that is the worst both of us have ever had.
