I am pretty sure that it is our last night at San Pedro, we have booked a shuttle out and to change it again will cost 2 more precious dollars. This is probally the longest we have stayed in one place since the start of the trip.
Most of the day has been spent making use of the free Internet downloading photos and doing some more travel planing.
Hunger drove us out to a lakeside place where we bumped into the Yorkshire guy and the bar man from the Allegre pub. Entertaining afternoon spent strangely talking a lot about sheep and how vicious they can be. We did however get off the subject to talk about recommended places. Just in case I forget the place Tobaco caye in Belize was cheap and recommended. If you talk to well seasoned travellers about places you always get the story that goes with it. It also transpires that San Pedro is a bit of a kite place, hosting kite wars where you have to take over other kites in the air.
The cake lady is difficult to avoid in San Pedro, and has amazing powers of persuation. Travellers will often find themselves buying a cake when they dont want one. We have been given at least two cakes by other travellers that had fallen under her spell.
It was the last night so we bought a whole banana cake at first price for 7Q (about 60p). It is not good karma to barter when it is a fair price.
