Free day today so Debbie and I headed up the mountain Jungfrau. It was a mind blowing experience, the scenery here is jaw dropping, like Queenstown on steroids. Treeline is at about 1800-2200 metres so it is very green and lush. Spent the morning on the mountain, went through ice caves inside glacier, was on top of a special viewing platform at around 3454m, went on tubes and sleds down a small area they made nearby, went up on a cog railway, bought some postcards and sent them from up there. The engineering done to make living in the area is incredible, avalanche protectors on snow fields and tags on roofs to same effect, the tunneling is unbelivable. Came down the mountain by another route and went up another valley to see Tummelbach Falls, which was like the "Chasm" but again on steroids - 20,000 litres per second. Powerful and deafing. Got back and had dinner at a local restaurant - had the best pasta of my life so far, took the waiters advice for all dishes and wasn't let down. First time we have felt happy to tip.
