So yesterday we travelled by Shikansen from Tokyo to Kyoto; the trains are meant to be very efficient in Japan but ous broke down; in a tunnel however it still arrived in to Kyoto at its correct time!!!
Arrived at our traditional hotel where we sleep on the floor mats. So far we love Kyoto as everone is so nice; we got free day tickets for the subway  from a very nice couple after looking pretty lost, then we got help with directions then we got tea made for us; awesome, we like it here!
Last night we ate the best meal ever in our own little private room the food was amazing.
Today we went to Kyoto Studio Park which is a Japenese film studio where they make martial arts fims and power rangers (believe it or not the power rangers first aired in 1975!!!!). We had a great time wandering around film sets in the old style of Japanese villages, we learnt about samurais and ninjas and even dressed up like them. We watched some filming and what Mark said to be a martial arts version of the Muchty pantomime. After that we went to Fushimi Inari Shrine which was incredible and a must see sight in Kyoto, it was great to have a wander around in beautiful settings with hundreds of red Torii.
Just come back from dinner and more bargain drinks!!!!! Who said Japan was expensive.
