Here we are in Buenos Aires!

We landed yesterday at about 11.30am local time and caught the shuttle to our hostel. The flight was very good but long. Didn't sleep much as had a very BIG argentinian lad sitting next to us that couldn't help encroach into our seat! he started off gruff but when i offered him pretzels he melted somewhat!

The pilot flew the plane low over the Andes which was magical. The peaks were snow capped and it looked very harsh in the morning sun! We watched several movies which was a great achievement and Mark was disappointed in the amount of food served, especially when they ran out of scrambled eggs and gave him sultana bran..He was not being tired and hungry!

We have done very little since being here other than organise the next couple of days. We are going to get a night bus tonight to Iguazu Falls in northeast Argentina and on the border of Brazil and Paraguay. This should take 16 hours...b*****! We will then stay in Iguazu overnight and fly to meet Kate on the 5th in Rio! The flight is a blessing because it was going to be another 21 hours by bus....this continent is alreay feeling very BIG!

After a very long sleep yesterday afternoon we joined the local late eaters and found a steak restaurant at 11pm! The steaks lived up to their reputation.

This morning started with a quick admin visit to Tam Airlines office to correct Mark´s e-ticket name from NIRK GATES to MARK GATES. Office girls found this very amusing!

We have been walking around the city today to get our bearings and stock up on some sweets for long bus ride.

Iguazu here we come...
