16th Jan. Kodai Kanal Height 2,100 mtrs And very very cold mmh frost every morning only until sunrise so you had to be up early to see it.. Blankets on the beds, wooly socks & beanies can you picture it!!!!

But what a wonderful place as the sign said as we climbed the hair pin bends. "This is as close to Gods Gate as it gets" and it was!!! just absoloutely beautiful best we have seen so far..

The hotel was horrible and I have to say so was the staff very hostile NO hot water unless we paid extra for a bucket mmh

Forget all that, We had a wonderful day out trekking across some stunning mountains with a brilliant guide. The climax of the trek was Pillar Rock a massive overhang with sheer drop. required some steady footing... Mark was away fishing on the lake most morning or evenings, met a nice old indian man. Santiago. who showed mark how to do it properly. made mark a float out of peacock feather. still NO luck though!! Me I took off for some more exploring of local hills. Kodai was a very pleasnat stay But have to keep moving!!!
