25.11.2007 Arrived in Chennai early hours of the morning, Even after travelling quite a lot in Asia nothing can prepare you for this. wOW!!! hundreds of people and the noise you want to reach for earplugs, everyone is shouting and it seems just at you. First job find ATM no currency yet!! Guess what NOT working so now we are without money andthe taxi from the hotel hasnt arrived. I am saying farewell to an indian,american lady I met on the plane she arranges a taxi andpays him to take us to the hotel. Very nice lady we squash into an Autoricksaw and arrive safely to our destination!!!

We visit the beach after a few hours rest Marina beach and Elliot Beach both were badly damaged after the Tsunami of 2004 The fisherman tell us now their businessis very slow The sea is always rough with big tides. unsafe for swimming so they dont get many tourist. Most of them are living on the beach..

We move onto Mallaparum after a few days the city is not for us!!!
