3-5th march Taj Mahal Agra

On an overnight bus from Pushkar. We have our first experience of sleeper beds. These run along the upper part of the coach. Very Hot even little people like us have to top & toe... However we slept quite well.. arriving in Agra @ 05:00am. I'm like a big kid in a while I am going to see another wonder of the world!!! Our guest house has a roof top restaurant with Taj's views. creep quietly to my room. I don't want my first viewing when I am tired. I want to be wide awake and be able to take in this very special place... after a few hours rest. we head for the roof top, as I take my first glance I stand in awe of this wonderful monument..!! How could anyone Love someone this much..!!!! However I am still not ready to explore not today I want to be in there for sun rise...

Next morning I get my wish we are at the gates 06:00 waiting for them to open!! we get our fist real sighting and THERE IS NOBODY. We quickly snap away like crazy. people are now beginning to arrive but we have already done.. The gardener took our photo. The perfect shot!! We enjoy the wander around as we approach the West gate an eagle drops from the skies to attack a poor defence less pigeon. We witness this precious moment. wow!! how can this day improve. Exhausted, over heated we now have to sit back and wait for sunset. A stroll down the river a local boat man takes us over the river for the sunset photo reflection into the water.. A perfect ending to a perfect day!!!

Day 2 Agra fort, It was very hard to get inspired after such a lovely day yesterday.. The fort very large some of the area was occupied army forces so out of bounds. We still managed a good 4hr visit.. returning on a cyclo our man begins to weaken me I'm up there doing it!! I almost cause accidents when people are staring on their way past...

Agra Has been a very inspirational and a lift of heart on this tired traveller

Next stop. South to Bhopal to see phrehistoric cave paintings...
