We were flying to Phuket so our tuk tuk driver took us to the airport! We gave him all the Riel that we had left and he was really grateful, even though there wasn't much!
We were amused in the check in queue buy a very impatient American lady complaining about the time it took to check in! The Cambodians weren't impressed and weren't going to help her! Hehe!
The flight was ok and we got fed even though the flight was less than an hour long! We had to fly via Bangkok which was a very impressive airport!! We found boots which I was happy about! I spent ages wandering around just looking at everything! Hehe!
The next flight was another short one and we were fed again! WOO! We arrived in Phuket to torrential rain! It was still very hot but wet! We ended up waiting for about an hour for our bags to come through and when they did they were wet..great!!
The hostel sent a taxi driver and it was about an hour drive from the airport and we nearly crashed at one point..hmmm! We're staying in Karon which is on the west coast and where lots of Scandinavians visit! The couple running the hostel are lovely, he is English and she is Thai.
Once we were sorted we went mooching around the area. Its not that big and feels a bit like Greece!! We found the beach which was crazy busy! There were sun loungers all the way along it with about a foot of space between them!! It was very very very hot so we went back and changed and went out for dinner in a cheap Thai restaurant.
Our room was full of mozzies but Mark danced around killing them all! The don't like the air con so we had it on very cold!!
