We were going to stay at the hostel until it was time to leave for the airport but they wanted to charge us $5 each to stay for about an hour so we left it and went to subway for breakfast instead! It took us a while to get going this morning, it was weird being back in a hostel again and not having to pack the bed away or rearrange the camper so we could get going! We had packed up and set off by 10am as we had about a 3hour drive ahead of us. We had breakfast overlooking the lake which was lovely, the colour of the water is such an amazing blue! Very little to report today! As we were staying on the same site for 2 nights we decided that we deserved a lay in, especially as we struggle getting up early at the mo! We're both shattered as we've had a busy few weeks so decided to stay at this site by the lake for 2nights so that we could have today to chill and relax a bit. We were up early and set off heading inland and north a bit towards the central lakes. We drove through many small rural towns along the way before stopping and lake Pukaki for some lunch. It was such a lovely day and we ended up spending a while there admiring the views and sunbaking! We could see Mount Cook which we had seen whilst driving down the west coast.
