We set off with the heaters on to thaw out...it didn't take long!! We went on a scenic drive around Dunedin spotting all the nice old looking buildings! First thing we walked along the beach again to see if we could see anymore sea lions, the grumpy big one was still snoozing but there were no others around. It was wet and windy and we were getting soaked so we didn't hang around! We set off from the site and continued along the southern scenic route making our first stop at nugget point. We started the morning by being chased by goats! They followed us from the camper to the shower block and then one kept trying to get in to the showers!! We fed the sheep, goats and Lamas. Lamas are very amusing! We have changed our route now! We were heading back towards Queenstown but instead as we have extra time we are heading south! We were up bright and early and set out on our way towards Milford Sound. Its a 240km round trip and a rather lovely one too! The initial part of the drive wasn't as impressive as we were expecting but once we passed Te Aanau it improved greatly! We now hate sandflies!! They are very very very persistent and nibble far too much!! We made a very quick exit from the campsite and set out towards Queenstown. We stopped a few miles down the road to kill all sandflies and remove them from the Newt! It took a while! We had such a lovely drive down. At every corner we were stopping to take pictures!
