We were up super early to catch a taxi to the train station for our train to Kuala Lumpur. We had to pass through immigration before boarding our old but comfy train. Just after we arrive in Malaysia we had to get off the train to go through immigration again!! Ended up sleeping for much of the morning! Was good to catch up on lost z's! We passed through some really poor looking areas, especially in Malaysia. We arrived in Kuala Lumpur at 3pm where we got a taxi to the hostel. Our driver was very friendly and told us about what we were passing and explained different things to us, e.g. how far our hostel was to certain sites. We were amazed at the amount of traffic there was! We passed the bus station and there were about 200 buses queuing to get into the station! WOW! We're staying in a poor area but the hostel is ok and very secure! We weren't allowed through the gate until the woman had checked our reservation!! We have a lovely room and a bit of a dodgy bathroom..but at least it is western! We snoozed some more and then went in search of food! I had my first and last experience of an eastern toilet! I was not impressed!! We had a lovely chinese dinner followed by a mcd's sundae! We watched a guy who rescued cats and monkeys and had them on show! The monkey was very cheeky looking! We wandered around the streets which were very busy! Everyone seems to come out at night, including the whole family! There were lots of food stalls which are meant to be the cheapest way to eat out here but they smelt a bit dodge! Later on in the evening it was heaving!! The traffic was crazy and there were people everywhere!!
