We were up bright and early, bags packed and ready to leave by 10am. We were both sad to be leaving Sydney as its such a lovely city and we still feel like there's more to see and do. I suppose this is our incentive to come back again though! I was sad to leave the hostel as we were quite settled and it was very homely! We loved the fact we had a tv in our room! Hehe!
We caught the train to the central station and waited for our coach to Canberra. We were very eager though and were 2hours early! We did a lot of people watching and searching for food and surprisingly the time went quickly and before we knew it we were on the bus ready to go!
We were looking forward to driving through Sydney and saying goodbye one last time but unfortunately they have these clever things called tunnels which go under the city and actually save you a lot of time as there is less traffic! You can guess which route we took, meaning that we missed seeing the city until we were miles away from it! Humf!
The journey wasn't too bad, we experienced a mix of weather varying from torrential rain to gorgeous sunshine! The coaches here are much nicer than the ones in Canada, we didn't fear breaking down!
We arrived in Canberra at 3.45pm and made our way to our hostel. In fact, most of our coach made their way to the hostel as it was pretty much all backpackers on the bus and only one hostel in Canberra! Its a very modern hostel and reminded us of one we stayed at in Seattle which was also very modern!
We settled in, chilled for a bit and then went in search for food! We walked around for a bit after dinner. The city seems very clean and tidy, and quite nice looking! It also seems quite small considering it is the capital! It's forecast good weather for tomorrow so fingers crossed!
For once we are sharing with 2 girls so Mark is the one feeling left out! They seem nice though, think they are German!
