Wednesday 30th
Arrive into Nice to get an oil change for Dora to find out they wanted £200, then we went down the road and brought all the stuff for £50. Driving on the motorway, a car behind flashed its lights and honking its horn so we pull over. A guy comes up and hands Liam some rings and a card asking for petrol money saying he will pay us back. We tell him where to go and take off as soon as we could. When he takes off we see he was driving a merc and had three other guys in the car so might've been a lucky escape!
Went to a campsite to find it was up in the hills of no where so we head back just outside of Nice to where Fat Feddys were the previous night. Luckily we were able to get into the campsite as most campsites are booked out on the coast line, we discover the the campsite was like a mini town. Later on into the night we walk to a small amusement park and try out some food and get conned into spending money on stupid games and tried a ride or two which was fun.
Thursday 31st
Once everyone was finally up and about we decided to catch a ride into Nice, unfortunately the train was a bit of a wait so we caught a bus and got a fantastic tour around every single suburb of Nice. We did go past the airport though which was epic as about a hundred private planes were all parked up so very intriguing wondering who might be floating around Nice!! We were just a bit too late for the markets which sells lots of soaps and flowers an food but we all split up and did our own thing for an hour. Us amend Seth snd Megan went and got lost in the old town which was beautiful. We just wandered around, checking out the bakeries and shops. We sat down at a bakery stall / shop and hey recommended we tried socca which us apparently a traditional Nician food. It's made of chick pea flour and is like a pancake kinda.... Made into a dough and then fried pretty much. Tasted all good. Margot bought new jandals as hers kept popping out and tripping her up.
Then we met Sam and korbyn and we all walked up to a lookout over the entire beach and city for a mint view which was hot work. Epic view though and the sea looked amazing.
Caught the bus with a million stops back to camp and the van Black Betty (angie, Pete, Lou, sparky and muffy) had arrived and got a park right next to us.
Cruisey evening, went back to the amusement park to show the others. We all went on the dodgems which was chaotic.
